Studies of the Nursing programme will begin on 11 August 2026 at Diak Helsinki campus (Kyläsaarenkuja 2, 00580 Helsinki).

Starting your studies
Compulsory orientation days of the Nursing programme will take place on 11–12 August 2026 at 9am-4pm at Diak Helsinki campus, Kyläsaarenkuja 2, 00580 Helsinki. After the orientation days, your studies will continue according to the schedule.

The Nursing studies are full time studies. Studies will take place between Mon-Fri every week from August to December 2026. First clinical practice will take place November – December.
Mode of study
Studies are conducted as daytime studies. Studies include contact teaching, independent study and studying in small groups as well as online. There are approximately 3–4 contact teaching days per week.
Study guidance
Diak offers various forms of study guidance for students. There are regular group meetings with the Study Guidance Counselor and Responsible teacher. Also individual support is available. Students may talk to a counsellor in confidence about their personal study plan or any issues concerning studies.
Your Study Guidance Counselor Sonja Hyrkkö will guide you in building your personal study plan (PSP) in Study Guidance sessions. There will be a monthly Study Guidance session during the first semester. On semesters 2–7 there will be three Study Guidance sessions per semester.
If you have studied similar topics before in Higher Education, you will be able to apply for RPL Recognition of prior learning.
