Public health nurses support and guide individuals, families and communities on issues related to health and life management in different life stages.

The work involves holistic health promotion with a societal aspect, which includes the promotion of health equality and the prevention of health disparities and discrimination.

Students develop interaction and decision-making skills, which are essential in health care work.
