Open UAS Finnish language studies

Diaconia University of Applied Sciences prepares students for national and international roles in social and pastoral work. Our programmes cover the fields of social work, health care, diaconal work and interpreting. In the field of interpreting we train professionals in language and communication and specialize in quality online and blended learning language teaching.

On this page you’ll find Finnish language courses from all of Diak’s UAS degree programmes. You can select courses from basic language skill levels up to those aimed at language professionals.

Basic language skills (A-levels A1 and A2)

You will improve your reading and writing skills. You will use the language in routine and simply discussions, for example telling the way. Topics include travelling and traffic, food and drink and work.A1.3EnglishFall 2022:

The texts you read and write get longer, for example, letters and emails. You will learn new ways to talk about your life, for example, what you did yesterday, last week or last year.
