Registering for the academic year 2026-2027 begins 4.5.

Registration for the academic year 2025-2026 must be made between 4.5. – 24.8.2026.

Only degree programme students register for the academic year. Registering is done through MyDiak, in Studies –> Registering for Academic Year.

Students register as attending or non attending for the whole academic year, fall semester 2026 and spring semester 2027. You need to make sure you register as attending or non attending every academic year, for both semesters. If you fail to register as directed, you will lose your study entitlement.

Register first for the regular period of study time semesters, and then separately for the statutory extra time per semester.
At the end of the regular period, the time of study is automatically extended to additional time.

Before you register as non-attending, remember to check the regulations regarding your right to be non-attendant during studies. Remember also that as a non-attending student your study entitlement is not valid during your absence and that non-attending students are not entitled to any student benefits.

If needed, you can change your registration through MyDiak, from 2.11. to 14.12.2026.
Use this if f. ex.
– you have registered as attending for the whole academic year, but need to be non-attending for spring semester 2027
– you have registered as non-attending for the whole academic year, but want to be attending for the spring semester 2027
– if you exceed the regular study time and want to enroll for a statutory extra time for spring 2027

If you lose your study entitlement due to not registering but want to continue your studies, you will have to apply to have it reinstated. The application is subject to a € 50 administrative fee.

More information on the registering requirement and study entitlements in the Guides in English.

N.B. At the same time, in MyDiak, please update your personal email address (other email address) and your phone, address, home and residence information. Your contact details can be found on MyDiak under My Info -> Contact information.
