Students must always agree on their summer placement in advance with both their study counsellor and the teacher supervising the placement. All students completing a placement during the summer are required to fill in a summer placement agreement. The agreement form can be found on Diak’s website under Forms.
The lecturer responsible for the placement will decide whether the placement can be completed during the summer. All other placement-related matters, such as the learning objectives and the timing of supervision meeting(s), must also be agreed well in advance with the supervising teacher.
Please return the carefully completed summer placement agreement to your supervising teacher by email before the start of the placement, or at the latest by Friday, 29 May 2026. The supervising teacher will inform the student by email whether the placement plan has been approved. The placement may not be started before the agreement has been approved.
During the staff vacation period (8 June–2 August 2026), Diak has on-call staff whom students or placement organizations may contact if any exceptional or urgent issues arise during the summer placement. Please contact the on-call staff only in urgent matters directly related to the summer placement that cannot wait until the supervising teacher returns from their vacation. All practical arrangements related to the placement must be agreed with the supervising teacher before the placement begins.
