The use of AI in Diak’s marketing and communications
Diak uses generative AI tools in the production of its communication and marketing materials to boost efficiency and support creativity. Generative AI refers to artificial intelligence that learns from vast language and image datasets, using this foundation to create entirely new content.
Tools in use
Diak’s communications and marketing team primarily uses ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot to assist with brainstorming, content creation, and structuring text-based information and marketing materials. For image production and visual design, we mainly utilise Adobe Firefly. We always use these tools in strict accordance with Diak’s data security and privacy guidelines.
Ethics and human oversight
Diak’s communications and marketing team is committed to the ethical guidelines of the Council for Public Information (VEN) and the principles of the EU AI Act. For us, AI is always a tool, never an independent agent.
Commitment to transparency: We are committed to transparency: if we publish material that has been entirely AI-generated (e.g., images), we will clearly label it as such.
Expert review: All content generated with the assistance of AI is always reviewed, fact-checked, and finalised by Diak’s communications and marketing experts.
Human-led decisions: Ethical, moral, and content-related decisions are always made by a human.
Diversity, inclusion, and critical thinking
AI outputs are mathematical representations of the data they were trained on. Due to biases in training materials, AI can reproduce and reinforce existing societal stereotypes. In line with Diak’s core values, our communications and marketing team is particularly vigilant and critical when dealing with themes related to ethnicity, gender, social class, disability, or age. We actively strive to ensure that Diak’s communications and marketing reflect a diverse and equal society.
Data security and copyright
We respect privacy and copyright laws in full compliance with Diak’s internal policies. We never input confidential or personal data into public AI services. Furthermore, we ensure that AI-generated material does not infringe on third-party copyrights and that we hold the proper rights to use the produced material in our communications.
