A nationwide career monitoring survey examines the work and career paths of graduates from universities of applied sciences, their employment rates, and the extent to which their higher education degrees have met the needs of the workforce. The survey is sent to graduates who completed their studies five years ago.
The career monitoring survey examines the types of jobs graduates have secured, how their careers have progressed, and how satisfied they are with both their careers and the degree they earned. At the same time, alumni can provide valuable feedback on their education and its relevance to the workforce.
The survey results provide important information about developments in the workforce and skill needs. The information gathered is used to develop teaching, degree programs, and continuing education services. By responding, you help raise the profile of your degree and contribute to the development of education for future professionals in the social and health care, diaconia, and interpreting sectors. The results are also useful for current and future students as they consider their study choices and career plans.
Some of the survey responses also serve as an indicator of the quality of employment outcomes of education at universities of applied sciences. These results determine 3 percent of the basic funding for universities of applied sciences.
Career monitoring survey 2026
It is now the turn of the 2021 graduates to complete the career monitoring survey. CSC – IT Center for Science Ltd. is responsible for the technical implementation of the survey.
Survey schedule
The survey will be sent directly in October–November to everyone who earned a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in 2021. The survey response period is October 7–November 9, 2026. - Wed, Oct. 7, 2026: email and text message
- Tue, Oct. 20, 2026, Reminder 1 (text message)
- Thu, Oct. 29, 2026, Reminder 2 (email)
- Mon, Nov. 9, 2026: The survey closes.
