Hello student,
Changes will be made to the Tuudo student card starting on 1 August 2026. From that date onward, the card displayed in Tuudo will function as a student card (blue card) only for members of the Student Union O’Diako. For all other users, the card will change to a Kela meal subsidy card (pink card) and will no longer provide access to student discounts, such as those offered by VR or Matkahuolto.
If you wish to keep your student card active in Tuudo, you will need to join the Student Union O’Diako.
What should I do?
I am a member of O’Diako
You do not need to do anything. Your student card and student benefits will continue to be available in Tuudo as usual after 1 August 2026.
If you have a valid O’Diako membership but your student card is not visible in Tuudo, first check that your student number is correct in your membership details in Kide.app. If everything is correct and the card still does not work, please contact odiako@info.fi.
I am not a member of O’Diako, but I want to keep my student card in Tuudo
You can keep your student card and the associated student benefits in Tuudo by joining the Student Union O’Diako.
How to join O’Diako:
- Log in to Kide.app
- Purchase a student union membership for your preferred duration via the link below. The longer the membership period, the more you save:

- your student card will be activated in Tuudo
- you will also gain access to the Slice student card
- you can take advantage of a wide range of student benefits (e.g. travel, events and services)
Make sure to obtain O’Diako membership before the start of the academic year if you want to continue using your student card and student benefits in Tuudo after 1 August 2026.
