The student health nurse service is free of charge.

Appointments

Appointments can be made by phone, email or online at asiointi.hel.fi/terveys.

Drop-in clinic (no appointment needed): Mon–Fri 11am–12pm
Appointments: Mon–Thu 8:15am–4:00pm, Fri 8:15am–2:00pm

Please check in advance that the nurse is available as schedules may change due to meetings, trainings, etc.


Clinic address

Arcada University of Applied Sciences, Hämeentie 107, basement.

The entrance is outside on Hämeentie. Walk down the ramp next to the parking barrier, the door is around the corner. If the door is locked, please use the buzzer.


General physician

You will need a referral from the nurse to see the GP.

The student health care GP can help with matters related to your capacity to study, general well-being, contraception, etc. In medical care matters, students should contact their local health centre.


Emergency appointments, A&E

In urgent matters, contact your local health centre Mon-Fri 8:00am–4:00pm.

Evening, night and weekend services vary by area.

The medical advice helpline 09 310 100 23 is open 24 hours a day.


Oral health care

Students who are Helsinki residents can use the dental health care services of their local health centre.

Students who are not Helsinki residents can use dental health care services in Helsinki or in their home municipality.

The dental health care charges are the same for both students and other Helsinki residents.

Mental well-being and student counsellors

You can contact your local student counsellor or student health nurse in crises, mental health and emotional well-being matters. They can discuss with you and determine any further support needs you may have.

In a crisis situation, you can also contact your local health centre or A&E.
