To go on exchange, you can either look for a host organisation independently or choose from Diak’s international partners. Diak has partners particularly in Europe, Africa and Asia, and many of them welcome students year-round. Check out some of our recommendations below!
- Clinical nursing placements: Ilembula Lutheran Hospital (IIHAS) in Tanzania welcomes up to four students each semester. The well-run hospital compound has accommodation available, and the hospital has a dedicated coordinator to help with practical matters. A popular destination among Diak students.
- Studies in social services: Karel De Grote University of Applied Sciences and Arts offers 30 ECTS of exchange studies in Antwerp, Belgium. The Crossing Borders exchange programme is available in the spring semester and has places for up to two students at a time. More information.
- Placements and studies in social services and nursing: Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Faculty of Nursing and Hue University of Sciences, Department of Social Work facilitate placements in Hue, Vietnam for both social service and nursing students. Students can also join classes at the university during their exchange. Both universities can host up to four students each semester.
