Timing of Autumn placements
The start and end dates of Autumn 2026 placements will be updated in MyDiak on Friday 30 January. After that, you will be able to see the placement dates in the implementation details and the implementation plan. Please reserve your internship placement primarily for these weeks.

Autumn 2026 schedules will be published on Wednesday 15 April 2026.

Enrolment instructions

Apart from 1st semester studies, all degree students (Bachelor´s and Master´s degrees) are required to enrol for study modules for the next semester.

Enrolment must be made during the enrolment period! For Nonstop courses the enrolment period continues through the semester. Check the ending date of the enrolment for the Nonstop courses in the course specific information.

Students who fail to enrol cannot be guaranteed a place on a study module. Enrolment takes place on MyDiak through the PSP (personal study plan) -> Enrolments. You can find a step by step guide to enrolment here. Note! If you use Search for courses -function, you can see only Diak´s courses by choosing Only my organization from the Filter cross study courses -drop-down menu.

Study guide
You can use Diak’s electronic study guide for study planning and selections.

Small groups

If enrolment for small groups has been opened for an implementation, always select a small group when enrolling.

For example:

  • In Social Services 5th semester HAR21-22, you must choose an placement group (LST, MIE, MON, VAM, VAR) according to your specialization.
  • For Helsinki Social Services HAR1 implementations, you must choose a placement group according to the schedule.

Timing of autumn studies
The module specific schedules will be published on Wednesday 15.4.2026. Changes may occur.

Cross-institutional studies
As a Diak degree student, you can expand your study opportunities by completing studies from another Finnish higher education institution and include these studies in your degree. Check out and enrol for Cross-institutional studies in MyDiak. You can find the instructions for enrollment in the guide portal. Please send an email to your study guidance counselor before enrolling on the courses and ensure that the studies can be accepted into your degree program.

Cancellation policy
In case you decide not to participate in the studies you have enrolled for, remember to cancel your enrolment on MyDiak as soon as possible. Study implementations, group divisions etc. are confirmed based on enrolments. It is important that each student makes sure that their own enrolment information is up to date. Cancellations are possible until you have been accepted on the module.

Approving enroIments
Students do not need to do anything else than save their enrolment by clicking on the Enrol button. When you save your enrolment, your name is added to the enrolment list. The Study Office will process the enrolment lists after the end of the enrollment period. The status ”Enrollment waiting for approval” will change to ”Enrollment approved” once this has been done. For the nonstop courses there is a separate schedule for approval of the enrolment. The Study Office processes the enrolments once a week.
