The Virtaa Varustamoista project develops the low‑threshold service model of the Parish Union of Helsinki, specifically the activities of the Varustamo Centres. The service package being developed includes both group-based and individual guidance aimed at supporting inclusion, work ability and functional capacity, as well as creating pathways toward education and employment. In addition, the project focuses on strengthening a multidisciplinary cooperation network between parishes, NGOs and public-sector actors.
The main objective of the project is that, through the developed low‑threshold service model, group activities and individual guidance, participants’ inclusion, functional capacity and work ability are strengthened. In this context, participants refer to 25–55‑year‑old individuals visiting the Varustamo Centres who are currently outside the labour market and in need of multidisciplinary support.
The main implementer of the project is Helsingin seurakuntayhtymä and Diak is a co‑implementer.
