Campus coordinator – support for everyday campus life

The Campus Coordinator supports the smooth running of everyday campus life and acts as a low-threshold point of contact for students, staff and partners. The role includes directing general enquiries to the appropriate experts, coordinating campus events and celebrations, and providing support for communication tasks in collaboration with the communications and marketing teams.

In addition, the Campus Coordinator coordinates regional cooperation between educational institutions and serves as the campus harassment contact person, offering a safe first point of contact and, when necessary, guiding individuals to the appropriate support services. Harassment contact persons are available to support all members of the Diak community.

Mobile education and development unit

Diak’s mobile training and development unit responds to the educational requirements in Eastern and Central Finland by training professionals in the fields of social welfare and health as well as for church community work. The studies in Diak Eastern Finland are in Finnish language.

The range of programmes includes bachelor-level studies in social services, health care and church-related fields, delivered as blended learning with a strong online focus. Training provided through the mobile model has so far been organised in, for example, Joensuu, Jyväskylä, Pieksämäki and Varkaus.

Our aim is to bring UAS courses to those areas within Eastern and Central Finland where they are needed to fulfil the requirements of working life. The training courses will be designed in cooperation with actors in the world of work, such as Wellbeing Services Counties, businesses, dioceses and parishes. The training courses will be organised at the premises of local partners and online. We also offer customised training courses subject to a fee.

Together online

Diak Eastern Finland training courses will be organised as multi-modal education with an online focus and will include working in locally based small groups. In the small groups, students have an opportunity to participate in development tasks and other group work related to their studies together with work-life representatives and teachers. On-site face-to-face teaching will also be provided to teach practical skills.

Our principle is: flexible theory learning remotely – high-quality practical training on site.

Agile development

At Diaconia University of Applied Sciences, we want to find more flexible and agile ways to respond to the needs of working life in our changing world. Diak Eastern Finland’s key principle is to provide solutions together with clients and service providers and users to genuine problems that arise in the everyday life of the social and health care sector and the Church.

Are you thinking of potential development projects within social, health and employment services or the Church? Are you looking for new models of cooperation for organisations, Wellbeing Services Counties and municipalities? Get in touch with us! Together, we will come up with a development project to provide solutions to your problem.
