Dr Elina Juntunen is Diak’s new CEO-Rector
Elina Juntunen has a doctoral degree in theology and master’s degree in social sciences. Juntunen currently works as an Education Manager in Ava-akatemia.
Juntunen has previously worked in Diak as a Director of Services and as a member of Diak’s Executive Board. She has earlier worked in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland, University of Helsinki, and Humak University of Applied Sciences.
The decision was made by Diak’s Executive Board in its meeting on 9th of December 2020.
– Elina Juntunen was chosen unanimously to the position. She knows the higher education field and our key partners and stakeholders. Dr Juntunen is a strategic leader with people skills. She is committed to Diak’s values and our new strategy. Dr Juntunen will take Diak and its operations to the next level, states Hannu Harri, the Chair of Diak’s Executive Board.
Elina Juntunen starts in her new position after mid-January.

Diak’s current CEO-Rector Tapio Kujala starts as the CEO-Rector of Tampere UAS in the beginning of 2021. At the moment Diak’s Vice-Rector Pirjo Hakala works as the acting CEO-Rector of Diak.
