Support the professionals of the future by donating or funding a scholarship

We educate future professionals for the social and health sector, diaconia and the field of interpreting. These sectors play a vital role in people’s everyday lives, wellbeing and equality.

Become a scholarship partner with Diak

We want to recognise graduating students who have demonstrated exceptional competence during their studies or completed an impressive thesis that advances their field. Companies, organisations and private individuals can donate scholarships to Diak. These scholarships help support the research carried out in the writing of theses and in other studies.

We are looking for new scholarship partners who want to support the professionals of the future. A scholarship can be directed to a specific field or theme, such as wellbeing, equality or sustainable development.

  • The typical value of a scholarship is €100–500.
  • Donations are tax-deductible if the annual amount exceeds €850.
  • If you wish, we are happy to acknowledge your support through Diak’s communication channels.

A scholarship or donation is a concrete and impactful way to promote a socially sustainable society and support emerging professionals.

Make a difference by donating to Diak

Diak accepts bequests and other donations from private individuals, companies and organisations. By donating to Diak, you help us continue developing as a university of applied sciences that delivers meaningful impact. Your support ensures that the professionals in care and compassion who graduate from Diak are equipped to meet the challenges of the future. You also support research and development projects that seek solutions, for example by reducing social exclusion and strengthening inclusion.

Following a legislative amendment in 2017, universities of applied sciences are permitted to receive donations. While state funding will continue, the funding structure of universities of applied sciences is increasingly shifting towards external funding.

Fundraising permit: RA/2022/614 (valid from 12 April 2022)

Educating professionals who make a real impact

Diak trains experts for the social and health sector, for church-related work and for the field of interpreting – professionals who work every day to promote social justice. As society evolves and becomes increasingly diverse, their expertise must also continue to grow.

By donating, you help us ensure that our education will continue to produce skilled and knowledgeable professionals who make a difference to the wellbeing of both individuals and communities.

Research that breaks the cycle of inequality

Diak’s roots run deep in history, but our focus is firmly on the future. In our research and development activities, we advance our fields with curiosity, courage and an experimental mindset. Together with our partners, we carry out around 60 projects each year to address pressing societal challenges through digital services and multidisciplinary, multicultural collaboration.

New solutions and fresh knowledge flow directly into making a positive impact.
