Diak’s learning environment will be updated. Diakle (Moodle) will be replaced by the new Canvas LMS learning platform.
Canvas is a clear and modern learning platform that supports smooth communication both in group work and between lecturers and students. Thanks to its mobile app, Canvas is also easy to access and use while on the move.
The transition to Canvas will take place in phases, with teaching on Canvas beginning as early as January 2027. However, not all modules will move to Canvas immediately. During the transition period, Diakle will continue to operate alongside Canvas throughout 2027, ensuring a controlled and gradual changeover.
Before the start of each module, students can check which learning platform will be used by visiting MyDiak and looking under the Teaching Methods section of the module information. The platform information will also be included in the timetable details for the module’s first session in January.
As the learning platform changes, guidance and support will be available to help both students and staff get started with Canvas. Further information about support services and practical arrangements will be provided well in advance of January.
