Have you completed the SAT-test and a qualification that provides eligibility for higher education studies?

In the Rolling Admission you are able to apply as soon as you have all the required documents ready – all eligible applicants will be admitted in the order they have submitted their complete application.

“First come first served” – if you meet the criteria and pass the interview, you can be offered admission fast. As long as the application is open there are still available study places.

The full admission criteria can be found on Stufyinfo (LINKKI).

Description of admissions criteria

In this admission, you can only apply to one programme (Bachelor of Health Care, Nursing or Bachelor of Social Services). If you submit more than one application, only the latest one will be considered.

Student selection is based on a rolling admission process with a limited number of study places. Eligible applicants are accepted in the order of submitting their complete application. Please note that an application is considered complete only when the online form and all mandatory documents have been successfully submitted. Applications will no longer be accepted once the intake quota has been reached for each degree programme separately.

To be admitted to our degree programme, you must

  • have completed or complete a degree that gives you eligibility for higher education studies in the country in question;
  • have at least 800 SAT score (400 for Mathematics and 400 for Evidence-based reading and writing)
  • pass the online interview

Please read more detailed information about all requirements below. Only eligible applicants will be invited to the interview. The interview will be assessed on a scale of pass/fail. You will need to get a pass from the interview to be considered for admission. All applicants who meet the eligibility criteria and pass the online interview will be admitted.

SAT test

Applicants who have demonstrated their eligibility as instructed will be invited to an interview on the basis of meeting the SAT score requirements. The minimum score from the SAT test is 800: 400 for Mathematics and 400 points Evidence-based reading and writing.

SAT results must be delivered directly by the test organiser to the Diaconia University of Applied Sciences by using the institutional code provided on the application form. You must also attach a copy of the official SAT result report to the application form. Test results delivered only to the application form by the applicant or by the test organiser are not accepted.

Only the new version of SAT test (completed after March 2016) is accepted. The SAT test selection only takes into account the sections performed during a single session.

Online interview

Eligible applicants with a SAT score that meets or exceeds the minimum scores set are invited to an online interview.

Invitations to the online interview are sent by email.

Interviews will be held according to a timetable published separately on our website.

The interview will be assessed on a scale of pass/fail. You need a valid, acceptable identification document to be able to identify yourself and participate in the interview.

The following documents are accepted as proof of identity:

  • passport
  • Finnish identity card with a photo, issued by police
  • Finnish driver’s licence
  • another EU/EEA country identity card with a photo

An expired passport or identity card is accepted if its validity has expired on 30.10.2025 or later. The applicant has to be identifiable in the document’s picture.

Applicants are required to verify their identity during the interview by displaying the original, physical identification document in front of the camera; digital copies or photographs of the document are not accepted. The document presented must match the one submitted in the application form. If you are unable to present the correct document in the beginning of the online interview, the online interview will be disqualified.
