Each year, Diak manages and partners in dozens of projects on topics relating to our focus areas.

A significant proportion of our projects receives support from the European Social Fund. Other funding sources include local authorities and government ministries.

Diaconia University of Applied Sciences in Finland coordinates the project, and the collaborative partners are Athens Lifelong Learning Institute in Greece, European University Cyprus in Cyprus, I & F Education and Development Ltd. in Ireland and Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Spain.
Main goal
We aim to promote inclusion for all students by improving teachers' digital skills, increasing students' participation in digital environments, and offering schools training courses and practical tools for blended learning.

DVINE is administered by Diaconia University of Applied Sciences (Diak) in Finland, and the project partners are VID Specialized University (VID) in Norway, Gazi Üniversitesi (GU) in Turkey, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy (HUMP) in Vietnam, Hue University of Sciences (HUSC) in Vietnam, Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS), School of Nursing and Midwifery, Lalitpur Nursing Campus (LNC) in Nepal, and St. Xavier’s College (SXC), affiliated with Tribhuvan University in Nepal.
Main goal
The aims of the project are to promote dignity in Vietnam and Nepal through developing holistic tools for competence-based curricula, to improve the physical learning environment in Vietnamese and Nepalese partner institution, and to enhance teachers’ pedagogical competence in utilizing new teaching methodologies.

The network shares best practices in northern nursing education and documents these models in order to promote the establishment of additional northern, rural and remote nursing programs in the eight circumpolar states.

The project targets to develop products, competence and export activities for distance learning, digital content and technical solutions. It also aims to develop the competence to participate in global NGO projects.
