Direct application to a degree programme

If you have completed at least 60 ECTS credits’ worth of open UAS studies that correspond to a particular programme, you can apply to the degree programme in question via the direct application process.

The direct application process

Direct application instructions and schedules for the next application period are updated on this page later. Programmes which are included in the open UAS direct application process are listed in Studyinfo.

Complete the direct application form on Studyinfo. You can specify two choices in the order of preference.

It is recommended that your first choice is the programme in which you have taken your path studies.

Before the end of the application period, the Admission Services will ascertain that a suitable place can be offered to you at the specified campus.

If a place cannot be offered, you will not be invited to take the entrance exam at the campus in question.

You will instead be given the option to apply to another location, if a suitable place is available at another Diak campus.

Further information about the direct application process is available from Diak’s Admission Services.

Studies eligible for direct application

The required eligible studies can be completed at any university of applied sciences. The studies must be relevant to the programme to which you are applying and correspond with the Diak curriculum in question.

Studies completed at a UAS as a degree student or open UAS student are not eligible for the direct application process.

Admission and starting your studies

Students are selected on the basis of an aptitude test and, if necessary, academic success in open UAS studies.

Before the start of the programme, a personal study plan will be drawn up with each student who has been admitted via direct application.

Eligible open UAS studies can be accredited towards the degree to the extent that they correspond with Diak’s current curriculum and degree requirements.

Diak cannot guarantee that all studies needed to complete the degree will be offered at the student’s chosen campus every year. For that reason, your study schedule may deviate from the standard order of courses.
