Applying in separate application

You can apply to this MA programme in a separate application which will take place from 5 until 19 April in Studyinfo Service. The application closes on 19 April 2022 at 3:00pm (EEST). If you already applied to this MA programme in the joint application in January, please fill in the application form again.


Eligibility

Candidates who have a suitable degree in one of the following fields can apply:

    • Bachelor of Social Services
    • Bachelor of Diocesan Social Work
    • Bachelor of Youth Work
    • Bachelor of Nursing
    • Bachelor of Public Health Nursing
    • Master of Health Care
    • Master of Social Services
    • Bachelor of Arts (Education), Master of Arts (Education)
    • Bachelor/Master of Education
    • Bachelor/Master of Theology
    • Bachelor/Master of Health Sciences
    • Bachelor/Master of Social Sciences
    • Bachelor/Master of Social Work
    • a post-secondary or higher vocational level diploma (opisto- tai ammatillisen korkea-asteen tutkinto) in a suitable field completed in Finland is also accepted.

Applicants also need to have at least two years of relevant work experience gained after the completion of the degree that gives eligibility to this programme. The cut-off date for the accumulation of the work experience is July 31 2022, 3pm Finnish time.

Relevant work experience obtained after completion of a post-secondary or higher vocational level diploma in Finland (opisto- tai ammatillisen korkea-asteen tutkinto, in any field of education) but prior to taking the higher education degree is also accepted.


Entrance assignment and student selection

Student selection is based on entrance assignment (a motivation video and a written thesis proposal). Instructions for the entrance assignment can be found on the entrance assignments -page. If you already applied to this MA programme in the joint application in January, you can use the same entrance assignment. Make sure the content of your assignment is suitable for the programme.

The deadline for submitting the entrance assignment is 26 April 2022 3pm Finnish time. Submit your entrance assignment (a motivation video and a thesis proposal) by uploading it as an attachment to your application.
