Diak commits to the recommendations for good lobbying practice

The National Audit Office of Finland (VTV), which maintains the Transparency Register, has published recommendations for good lobbying practice. Diak commits to adhering to these recommendations in its advocacy activities.

The recommendations for good lobbying practice promote a culture of responsible lobbying, operate on the principles of self-regulation, and encourage organisations engaged in advocacy to adopt responsible practices.

Organisations involved in lobbying can publicly commit to following these recommendations. Organisations that have committed to these recommendations are listed on the Transparency Register’s website.

The recommendations for good lobbying practice are as follows:

  2. We act in an honest and respectful manner.
  3. We openly disclose for whom we are working and which interests we are promoting.
  4. We openly disclose our interests.
  5. We respect confidentiality.
